We have released the complete program for this year’s 23rd edition of the WATER, SEAS, OCEANS International Film Festival! We have prepared a packed week full of exceptional documentary films, meetings with inspiring guests, and engaging discussions on protecting our planet’s water resources.

Preparations for the 23rd edition of the Water Sea Oceans International Film Festival are in full swing. We are thrilled to announce that the detailed festival program will be officially released during the first half of August.

The evaluation of this year’s competition films has officially concluded. The expert jury has finalized its results, and the organizers have already reached out to the winners, inviting them to attend the upcoming festival to accept their awards in person.

The 23rd edition of the Water Sea Oceans International Film Festival is proud to announce another extraordinary guest of global acclaim. This September, the festival will welcome renowned Mexican marine biologist, wildlife cinematographer, and National Geographic Explorer Erick Higuera, whose breathtaking underwater imagery has captivated hundreds

The film will be personally introduced by Erick Higuera — the man behind some of the most breathtaking ocean footage of our time. Yes, the very same Erick Higuera whose work you know from Blue Planet II, Planet Earth III, as well as productions for Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, and National Geographic.

You’ll find out at this year’s festival with Martin Böye, Scientific Director of Loro Parque Fundación in Tenerife. Under his leadership, the foundation supports dozens of international projects focused on the conservation of marine mammals, sea turtles, coral reef ecosystems, and many other endangered species.
