This second roundtable of the 13th #RusDocFilmFest3W is in English. Its topic was “Contemporary Documentary Filmmaking in the COVID-19 Era: New Formats and Genres of National Cinematography Tradition.

It is my pleasure to welcome you -- friends old and new -- to the opening of the XIII annual independent documentary film festival RUSDOCFILMFEST-3W. I would like to express my deepest thanks to all of you for joining us during these unprecedented times!

Мы обсуждали проблемы документального кино в период пандемии и, конечно же, новые формы, новые жанры документального кино, жизнь кинофестивалей – и новые модели и стратегии поведения в этом «безумном, безумном, безумном мир

The festival program includes 14 screenings of carefully-selected documentaries created in the last two years by filmmakers from (in alphabetical order): Armenia, Bulgaria, Israel, France, Kazakhstan, Spain, and Russia.

The 13th Annual Independent Documentary Film Festival in New York will take place on October 19-25, 2020. This year the festival will only run online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
