Commissioned by Nenagh Arts Centre for Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival, Awaken The Spirit was postponed due to the restrictions placed on social gatherings during 2020. This project was created while observing social distancing on various levels of lockdown.

As part of our Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival this year we worked on an outreach project with artist Andy Spearpoint and a group of local rockers to form our Junk Punk Rock Band. Through weekly zoom calls they worked on composing their own spooky spell and learning the ins and outs of their upcycled instruments.

Last year we were honoured to be nominated for a National Heritage Week Award and were delighted to be placed as runners-up among such amazing projects. This year we were again thrilled to be nominated and even more thrilled to discover that we won!
