On Saturday, May 23rd, Fernando Nuñez's film "My Life in Puzzle Pieces" was named the Best Autobiography at the 2026 California Student Media Festival held at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles.

The DMAA Student of the Week for 5/4-5/10 is Barron Syams, a third-year DMAA Film Pathway student currently in Advanced Video Production. Barron has become one of the most dedicated, hardworking, and creative members of Hawk Talk.

The 23rd El Dorado Film Festival will be taking place on the campus of El Dorado High School this upcoming Friday, May 8, at 7pm. The screening will start promptly at 7pm in the Performing Arts Center.
