ANNOUNCING HEAD OF JURY FOR NEXT NEW WAVE COMPETITION: GARIN NUGROHO
Garin Nugroho will head the jury for the Next New Wave Competition, a category for Malaysian filmmakers. Each year, 10 films are selected to compete for the Next New Wave Award.
ANNOUNCING THIRD JURY MEMBER FOR SEASHORTS AWARD: Lee Chatametikool
Lee is the most sought-after editor in Southeast Asia. All 3 jury members for SeaShorts competition are announced: the head of jury Lav Diaz (Philippines), Bront Palarae (Malaysia), and last but not least, Lee Chatametikool (Thailand)!
ANNOUNCING SECOND JURY MEMBER FOR SEASHORTS AWARD: BRONT PALARAE
An actor, screenwriter, director and producer, Bront Palarae is born in Alor Star, Malaysia but he is a Southeast Asian actor / filmmaker. He is of Malay, Punjabi-Pakistani and Thai ancestry.
ANNOUNCING HEAD OF JURY FOR SEASHORTS AWARD
20 short films from Southeast Asia will be in competition for SeaShorts Award, with Filipino filmmaker Lav Diaz as the head the jury. A grand master of world cinema, Lav Diaz is an inspiration for many independent filmmakers not only in Southeast Asia, but through out the world.
3rd Southeast Asian Short Film Festival to be held in Malacca
