Free Summer Screenings for Families with Glasgow 2026
This summer we’re taking part in the Glasgow 2026 Festival, a city-wide celebration of culture taking place in the lead-up and during the Commonwealth Games. In Glasgow Toons!, a programme designed for our youngest film fans, we’re bringing vibrant animations from participating countries to venues across Glasgow – and tickets are free of charge.

Glasgow Short Film Festival 2026 announces award winners Each To Their Own World by Klarissa Webster and Manal Issa, 2024 by Elisabeth Subrin take jury prizes. The 19th annual celebration of short film finished last night with the awards ceremony, following a packed five day programme of events across the city.

Scottish Competition Films Announced

Shorts of the Year 2025
As is tradition, we asked the team to pick a short film that resonated with them this year. The standard of filmmaking we saw in 2025 continues to reaffirm our belief in film as a tool of collective resistance, action, liberation and artistic expression.
